Welcome! This blog is mainly about sewing clothes and other crafts, but I also post about hiking and flowers, my other passion. I started this blog in after three years of wishing I had the time and photography skills to create a good blog. Something snapped in March 2013, and I decided that I was going to try to be part of the sewing community, even with a humble, infrequently updated blog.

A few things about me:

  • I live on the outskirts of SF, and can see the ocean from my home. I still can't really believe that.
  • I love plants and animals, and am really looking forward to adopting a pet to join my beloved houseplants.
  • I work in arts education.
  • The name bennomusik doesn't really have any significance. It's been my online pseudonym since high school, and since I was already bennomusik on Pattern Review, BurdaStyle, Ravelry, Pinterest, Flickr, and Twitter, it seemed natural and consistent to just stick with the name.
  • Playing guitar, and music in general, is my third passion. These passions all compete and I never have enough time to do any of them as I would like.
